John Strickland has been painting, teaching English, and playing jazz most of his life. His paintings are included in collections in Edinburgh Scotland, London, Seattle,  San Francisco, and Barbaste France. American Art Resources recently commissioned three works to be displayed at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. His work has been included in the Midwest National Abstract Art Exhibition in 2005, 2006, 2007.

He will have a one-man show at the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts in Seymour Indiana February 1 through 29, 2008.
